although many may not believe that one can manage the direction of the mind amid
complete uncertainty. Nonetheless, we have to a certain degree the potentials
of deciding what we have to preoccupy our minds with, thus making it possible
for one to make a choice of being optimistic. Even though the work of tailoring
the mind to the positives in a world of too many negatives may be difficult,
the determination of the willing souls can help them steer clear of all corrosiveness.
Even if my assertion surprises you, it may worth taking a closer look at the
concept of oblivion as it concerns a small tilapia. This small fish will see
their mate taken up by the evil hook during a feeding frenzy and retreats, but after
a few seconds, it will go back to the place of death because of forgetfulness.
Although I am not insinuating that we have an oblivious mind, the reality is
that those who can develop this trait may be in a better position of looking
ahead when everything seems to be grinding to a halt. For some, saying that everything
is grinding to a halt is a big understatement because they have halted for a
very long time. Sure, sometimes, the reality is that events that are beyond our
control can push us off the cliff for faults that are not ours. Nevertheless,
the fact that a battered body may still survive the onslaught of pains through the
resilience of a determined mind, gives me hope.

There may not be a magic bullet
for exterminating the obnoxious circumstances surrounding our existence, but we
can utilize the only tool that cannot be taken away by the situations around us
- optimism to fight back. Some may think that we must put up all the necessary
resistance in this world to better the woes associated with the physical world.
This could be a short route for achieving a momentary optimism, but the only
thing that worries me most about this approach is the continuous effort made by
some desperate elements of delusion to ensure that all things will never be
equal in a society where all men are born equal. This means that we may stand a little chance of regaining control of what we may not be able to control.
Having said this, we may have to take control of our minds because pessimism will
only make us to face double tragedy – events we cannot control and the ones we
can. Do not let your mind think that you are finished. There is still hope.

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1728833149678608700.post-41668519443090907382020-11-27T20:55:00.007-08:002020-11-27T21:05:06.544-08:00About

Dr. Ossai is a researcher with a Ph.D. in engineering and
